These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Motalkz (the "Service"), operated by [fill in: legal entity or individual name] ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.
Motalkz is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We ask for your date of birth at signup and reject registration if it indicates you're under 18 or the date looks invalid — this check happens both in the app and at the database level, so it can't be bypassed by editing the signup form. If we later learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will suspend and remove it. If you believe an underage person is using Motalkz, please report their profile in-app (Report → "Underage / appears to be a minor") — reports of this kind are reviewed first.
Motalkz is a social discovery and dating app: you build a profile, discover and connect with other members, message, call, and use guided features (compatibility prompts, conversation suggestions, video speed dating, and others) to get to know people. It relies entirely on what members choose to share — we don't run background checks, and we don't verify anyone's identity, age, marital status, or intentions beyond the signup checks described here. Meeting people online always carries real-world risk; use ordinary caution, especially before meeting anyone in person (Motalkz's Safety Check-In feature can help, but it's not a substitute for your own judgment).
Some profiles show a verification mark. At this stage, this reflects a claim the member made about themselves (or a check we've performed where noted) — it is not a guarantee of identity, age, or anything else about that person. Treat it as one signal among many, not proof.
You own the photos, voice recordings, messages, and other content you post. By posting it, you grant us the license we need to store, display, and transmit it to operate the Service — for example, showing your profile to another member, or delivering your message to its recipient. We don't sell your content, and we don't use it to train third-party AI models.
Certain features (conversation suggestions, compatibility summaries, date-planning ideas, and the Chemistry Challenge result) use an AI provider to generate short text based on limited, relevant context — the specific messages or answers involved, not your full history. These features are optional and clearly labeled where they appear.
Motalkz includes a virtual gifting feature. Gifts have a coin value that a recipient can "redeem" into a spendable in-app coin balance. Coins are a virtual, in-app ledger only — they have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged, transferred, or cashed out for real currency, and are not a financial product. We may adjust, reset, or discontinue the coin system at any time.
Video and phone calls connect two members directly (peer-to-peer) once you've connected as friends; we don't record your calls. To help calls connect on networks that block direct peer-to-peer connections, call audio/video may be relayed through a TURN relay server — this relay does not store call content.
View-once photos in messages carry a name-stamped watermark to make a leaked copy traceable. No app — Motalkz included — can actually detect or block a screenshot; treat watermarking as a deterrent, not a technical guarantee against copying.
A member can generate a shareable link inviting anyone — including someone without a Motalkz account — to answer a few short prompts. If you receive and open one of these links, the name and answers you enter are stored only to generate the shared result and expire automatically after 7 days; opening the link does not create a Motalkz account for you.
Don't: misrepresent your age or identity; harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone; post illegal, exploitative, or non-consensual content; use Motalkz to solicit money, scam, or advertise; or attempt to circumvent the age gate, blocking, or moderation systems. We can suspend or remove any account that violates these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice for serious violations.
You can block or report any member from their profile. Reports are reviewed by moderators; reports involving a minor are prioritized. We may act on a report, including removing content or suspending an account, without disclosing details of that action to the reporter.
You can delete most of your own content and data at any time from Settings. Because fully deleting your login itself requires an administrative action we can't safely expose to the app directly, contact us at [fill in: support email] to close your account entirely. Motalkz is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any match, message, or interaction will be safe or accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including your interactions with other members.
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
